Sometimes it's best to run a default code check because these symtoms mimic other electronic faults also like a bad spark plug, or a plug wire issue. You can also use Mass Air Flow Sensor cleaner to clean the hot wire and the unit and re-install to rule out a dirty Mass Air Sensor issue. There are special spray cleaners for Mass Air Flow Sensors so be sure to use the correct type of product.
