OEM Ford Fuses

Your Ford vehicle, whether it be a sedan, SUV, or pickup truck, relies on fuses to protect both its electrical systems and the wires that connect the components to their source of power. If a fuse blows, you'll find that the affected part suddenly stops working. If it's your AC system or sound system, that's inconvenient; if a blown fuse affects your headlights, though, that's frankly unsafe. When you buy your replacement fuses from Ford Parts Center, you'll get the fuses that are guaranteed to be compatible with your ride. Even better, we sell those parts at a steep discount to the MSRP!

Buyer's Guide to Ford Fuses

Types of Ford Fuses

Automotive fuses come on many types. Blade fuses are most common, and come in dimensions that range from Micro2 to Maxi. They have the rate current stamped on top and come color-coded to the current rating; this makes it easy to determine which replacement is best suited to the circuit of the faulty fuse.

Given the variety of electrical components in your vehicle, it makes sense for your fuses to range in their voltage ratings. Typically, they're rated for circuits that max out at 32 volts DC, though some are rated to serve 42-volt systems.

How Do Ford Fuses Mount?

It all depends on your model, the fuse, and its role. They can slot into inline fuse holders, dual-slot fuse holders, fuse clips, or fuse blocks. Each option serves a distinct purpose and offers its own advantages.

Can I Replace My Ford Fuses Myself?

Absolutely! Generally, replacing a blown fuse is one of the easier DIY tasks you can take on. Just make sure that you replace the faulty one with a like fuse when it comes to the current rating, and insist on using ones made by your OEM. If you're ever in doubt, consult your owner's manual for specific instructions regarding the fuses in your model.
