OEM Ford ABS Pumps
My Garage
The ABS pump in your Ford is responsible for adding the supplemental brake pressure needed to run the anti-lock brake system. A signal from the ABS control module releases a valve when the ABS sensor detect that a wheel has started to slip or skid. Once that valve releases the pressure provided by your input, the pump restores pressure to the entire system. The control module modulates the pump to deliver the right amount of pressure to reduce any slipping.
When your pump fails, though, your ant-lock brake system can't respond as usual. That means you have less braking pressure, which leaves you in a dangerous position. Replacing the pump is the right move, and we have the genuine Ford ABS pumps you need right here. We price them far below the MSRP, and ship anywhere in the US. Ford ABS Pump FAQ
How Do I Know When It's Time To Replace My ABS Pump?
The first clue is likely to be when your ABS dash warning light comes on. However, that light indicates for any system troubles, so you'll want to connect a diagnostic code reader to determine if your pump is the cause of concern.
Can I Replace My Ford ABS Pump On My Own?
While replacing the pump itself isn't a tough task, you do need to know quite a bit about both anti-lock brake systems and hydraulic brake systems. If, like most of us, that's not right in your wheelhouse you're best off leaving it to the pros in your local Ford service center.
How Much Do Replacement Ford ABS Pumps Cost?
On average, you can plan on spending between $1,220 and $1,270 for the service. Parts average just over $1,000 at retail, while labor accounts for the remainder. However, you should remember that your actual cost depends on your model, the level of service needed, and where the service is performed.
